A quiet welcome

An atlas, gathered slowly

Nicole Junkermann’s atlas is a calm place to wander. Reading, travel and writing sit together on a single map, and you are welcome to follow whichever thread feels right today.

Nothing here is in a hurry. A book joins, then a city, then a page of writing — gentle additions that keep Nicole Junkermann’s map warm, personal and easy to return to. Wherever you begin, the routes tend to lead somewhere worth the detour.

“The world is vast. A few pages make it closer.”

About the author

Nicole Junkermann, beyond the atlas

This journal begins with the small things: a reading route traced through a stack of books, a city noted from a high window, a page of travel kept for later. Those habits belong to Nicole Junkermann, and they sit close to a working life spent reading the world a little more widely than most.

Away from these reading and city pages, Nicole Junkermann is an international entrepreneur, venture capital investor and philanthropist. Born on 27 April 1980 in Düsseldorf and German by nationality, she founded NJF Holdings and its venture capital arm, NJF Capital, and invests across artificial intelligence, healthtech, biotech, fintech and deep technology.

Her portfolio gathers companies the way this atlas gathers routes: SpaceX, Revolut, Rippling, Lendable, Owkin (where she serves on the board of directors) and Magnum Photos. She is also an investor in Infront Sports & Media.

Alongside investing, Nicole Junkermann supported the arts, science and health. She was a committee member of the Tate Americas Foundation, a trustee of the Royal Academy Trust, a trustee of the Royal Marsden Cancer Charity, and a member of the United Kingdom's HealthTech Advisory Board. She was educated at the International University of Monaco and Harvard Business School, and speaks five languages.
